Closed-loop credits

Recognition that goes further.

Tribo Points are closed-loop credits built into the app. Clubs, districts, and sponsors use them to reward their members for service, attendance, and contribution. Members use them to post listings and boost visibility on the in-app marketplace. Points stay on the platform. They never become cash and never leave the Tribo ecosystem.

How Tribo Points flow

Four steps. All on the platform.

The full Tribo Points lifecycle stays inside the Tribo app. No part of it converts to cash. No part of it moves between members as payment for goods. Members and their organizations are the only holders.

  1. Step 1

    Orgs and sponsors fund

Every Tribo seat license includes 100 Tribo Points, credited automatically to the buyer's wallet. Clubs, districts, and sponsors start with a supply the moment they onboard.

  2. Step 2

    Officers reward members

Club Presidents, District Officers, and sponsor teams scan a member's QR to grant Tribo Points for service, attendance, contribution, or any moment worth recognizing. Every grant is logged and auditable.

  3. Step 3

    Members hold a balance

Points granted to a member land in their personal balance. Receiving points raises the member's rank on their club leaderboard. The balance is spendable on marketplace utility.

  4. Step 4

Members use points on marketplace utility

Members spend Tribo Points to POST a listing (the platform fee) and to BOOST a listing for higher visibility. Points do not buy goods. Buyers and sellers arrange item payment between themselves.

What Tribo Points are for

Two utilities. One currency.

Tribo Points have two jobs. They are how organizations recognize their members, and they are how members cover the platform fees when they post to the marketplace. That is the whole set. They do not buy items on the marketplace, and they do not settle person-to-person payments.

RECOGNITION

Rewards from your organization

Your club, district, or sponsor uses Tribo Points to recognize you when you attend, serve, or contribute. Every grant is a small mark of thanks that stays on your Tribo record. Receiving points raises your rank on your club's leaderboard.

MARKETPLACE

Listing fees and boosts

Members use their Tribo Points to post listings and to boost a listing's visibility. Points cover platform fees, not the item itself. Buyers and sellers arrange item payment between themselves outside the app.

In plain language: Tribo Points are what your organization gives you to work with, and what you use to keep your marketplace presence visible. When you sell something on the marketplace, the buyer pays you directly for the item, the same way you would arrange any pickup between two people.

Two parallel systems

Rank Points reflect activity.Tribo Points do work.

Tribo runs two distinct point systems. Rank Points track your engagement over time and drive your leaderboard rank. Tribo Points are the utility credits described above. They work together: every Tribo Point you receive also raises your rank. Spending Tribo Points on marketplace fees or boosts does not lower your rank, because rank is earned once and stays.

REPUTATION

Rank Points

Earned through attendance, contributions, streaks, and service. Drive your rank on your club's leaderboard. Not transferable, not spendable, permanent recognition.

UTILITY

Tribo Points

Real-currency-backed credits granted by clubs, districts, and sponsors as recognition. Members use them to post and boost marketplace listings. Receiving Tribo Points raises rank; spending them on marketplace fees does not.

In plain language: Rank Points show what you have done. Tribo Points are what your club, district, or sponsor gives you to work with. Two different scoreboards; one member.

How clubs, districts, and sponsors get Tribo Points

Seats come with points.

The live acquisition path today is straightforward: every Tribo seat license includes Tribo Points. When you onboard your organization, your wallet is pre-funded.

100 Tribo Points per seat license

Included with every seat

When a Club or District onboards or renews Tribo seat licenses, 100 Tribo Points per seat are minted into the buyer's wallet automatically. Sponsor onboarding follows the same seat model. This is the acquisition path organizations use today.

Additional acquisition paths for organizations that need more Tribo Points beyond their seat allotment are handled through Sales. Reach out and we will walk your team through what fits.

How the design works

Points stay on the platform.

Tribo Points are minted only through platform channels (seat licenses today) and only inside the Tribo app. They are not cash. They cannot be redeemed for cash. They are not transferred between members as payment for goods. Organizations grant them; members spend them on platform utility. The full lifecycle stays inside the app.
